Tomorrow I've got to travel to London to meet some friends, so I'm wondering if anyone knows a train ticket that will get from :
- Reading to London Paddington (Then include open travel on the underground, as I'm meeting friends in lots of places)
- London Victoria to Gillingham later that evening,

Then the next day

- Gillingham to London Victoria,
- LV to L Padd
- LP to Reading.

I guess I'm essentially asking whether a First Great Western Saver Return ticket includes open travel on the London Underground?

If you know, or can help me, I'd be really grateful! Thanks!

All National Rail tickets which involve getting across London automatically include the transfer by Underground services. You can confirm that your ticket covers the Tube journey by looking for the symbol on the ticket. (Some ticket printing machines show it as +, instead of ).

However, no tickets for cross-London transfer offer unlimited Tube travel. (They only cover the direct route between the National Rail stations). You'll need to buy a Saver from Reading to Gillingham (30.80) and then purchase a one-day off-peak Travelcard. Assuming that you only require travel within Zones 1 & 2, the Travelcard will cost you 5.30 and provide you with unlimited Tube and bus travel for the whole day.
