I'm hoping to buy an electric fire and surround, I was wondering how easy are they to fit, thanks in advance.

they are much easier i think than a gas one, mine came ready assembled so all i had to do was fix it to the wall and plug it in, hope you have a socket near enough or you may have to use an extension lead.

Quite right audi. A gas fire would probable need to be connected by a registered CORGI person but an electric fire can be plugged-in by anybody and, if it comes complete with a surround, the task of installation shouldn't present a problem..........Ron
