i recall this happening last time but Im sure it was much later and was when baby was starting to engage so im trying to work out if baby is getting ready to engage or if its something else
anyway, the pain! Ive got a pain very very low down (ie cervix and in my bits)Its stingy and not at all comfy. Its making me wince and is happening whether Im sat quietly or moving about. its a sharp sudden pain and is happening regularly.

The only way i can describe is its very similar to that feeling you get when youve put a tampon in wrong.

Anyone else experiencing it? Or can anyone tell me what it is?

My daughter has been having similar pains for weeks now,her midwife told her its natural during the later stages of pregnancy but didn't tell her what causes it. My daughter said the pain was a shooting pain in the vagina and mostly happens when she is walking around. Her due date is wednesday so hopefully she won't have to put up with it for much longer.

i hope she doesnt go over too far daffy, i remember how important that due date becomes as a first timer and to see it pass is such a let down.

This time Im refusing to focus on my due date because of being so late last time.

Am seeing a consultant this week about babys size so will ask about the pains, just hope its not that baby is getting ready as i still have 3 months to go lol
It sounds like it could just be part of the fun of having pelvic girdle pain or simply baby laying on the wrong nerve. However, as you say it is stingy, it may be worth having a urine sample tested just to make certain you havent got a water infection. I can remember getting the sudden sharp pains down there with my first pregnancy, and I was getting them from about 6-7 months onwards. This time its harder to tell because everything hurts all the time! lol I think I overdid the housework yesterday, today my thighs are so sore I could barely walk taking my daughter to school!

OH psy, you poor thing.

I actually had a restful day yesterday. Mr CRX seemed to be nesting, he cleaned out the nursery, did loads of housework, made lunch and tea, put little CRX to bed and all while i just sat there :)

I have been very good at taking it easy and havnt had any bad days recently with the PGP, so i havnt even been back to midwife about it.
I think it happens quicker and quicker with each pregnancy. Head might not be engaging but remember all those muscles softening and allowing your pelvis to expand is mighty uncomfortable. If it's not a urine infection I would prepare yurself for the possibility of some sciatica symptoms pretty soon.

quick update, just got back from seeing consualtant.

Sample showed signs of infection, blood and protein so sent off for tests. Have been told that the pains and the congested feeling with Branxtons could be due to an infection so to go straight in if pains get worse.

Am still measuring 2 weeks over so having GTT done and another scan at 34 weeks.

already booked in for a sweep at 40+2 lol
Good luck, redcrx. Hope you stay well and keep your feet up.
