How old is she and of what breed? Seems that she is playing. Some breeds are scattier than others. If she's a German Spitz (Mittel or Klein), for example, she'lll be 'crazy' like that all her life. Gordon setters and and Irish setters are not much better!

she's 9 in oct and a boxer... got 2 but she's the only one that does it :o)
Mine all sit in the kitchen watching me prepare their food, and if I walk away without putting their bowls on the floor they will sit and bark at the worktop, so dont think it is anything to worry about, perhaps she isnt hungry, or doesnt like prawn crackers?
Question Author
she likes them Jules but just likes to bark at them before she eats them :o) ..guess she's just weird lol
My other boxer will bark at food that is on the worktop,to bring my attention to it,he likes to show me where it is ,just in case i've lost/forgotten about it !!
Maybe its that funny fizzy sensation you get when you put a prawn cracker on your tongue that she is anticipating (or is that just me lol). Perhaps she knows it is going to happen but can't help eating them anyway.

LOL never thought of that lankeela !!

Thanks for all the replies :o)
My labrador doesn't bark at certain treats but does play scattily with certain ones , tossing them around and nudging them before settling down to enjoy eating them .She always does this with bonio , pigs ear , and the occasional markie. :-) x
I love hearing about everyone else's dogs, and their food habits: reassures me that mine isn't so crazy after all (well not unusually so!)

Jack can't have a lot of foods, with his gluten intolerance, which is probably a good thing: stops us giving him snacks and scraps! He will sometimes throw his food around though, or shove it under the rug (well, try and fail to usually-he doesn't understand that by the time he's flipped the rug with his nose and begun to bury the food, the rug has fallen back down flat!)

:)
Awww that sounds so cute leelapops :-)
mamma, it is very cute, but he is completely unbalanced! I love him more than anything though. He is MY crazy dog!

Talking about fizzy sensations, I had two Irish Wolfhounds once who were mad for sherbet lemons ! At first we thought that they were just after a sweet and would be deterred once they'd cracked the shell and tasted the sherbet, but, no,it was definitely the sherbet they wanted. They'd pester us for those in preference to toher sweets or treats, gleefully cracking the sweets for the fizzy sherbet!
They didn't bark though: 'Wolfs' are the strong silent type!
We used to give our dog markies every night, she would spend 5 to 10 minutes throwing them around the room and pouncing on them before eating them.

Who needs tv when you have got a potty dog.
