Have a 3Com wireless router with two desktop computers that are contected with cables. Also have a dell laptop that uses the wireless part.

Everytime the laptop is turned on the router needs resetting as the laptop says limited conectivity. After this it works fine. Its just a pain. Also tried to connect another similar laptop to it and it connected to the network but the router wouldn't assign it a ip address.

If it helps my security settings are, Wpa encription with SSID not broadcast.

Thanks

The first thing I would do is enable broadcast of the SSID. This should make life easier without compromising security.
