Just watched Mystic River on video and was totally enthralled by how much Sean Penn looked like Robert DeNiro....did anyone else notice any resemblence?

P.S. loved  film.... Clint did it right this time.....

I personally didn't like it - I was looking forward to seeing it and rented day of release but I just thought there were to many resemblences to simular films.   But each to there own and all.  There is a simularity though.

I agree there was a lot of stuff "culled" from other movies and with Penn imho impersonating one of DeNiros charachters ....i did kinda get a bit of deja vu in some of the scenes.....

Wasn't too impressed by the film, though Tim Robbins so deserved his Oscar. I can't personally see a resemblence between Penn and Bobby.
