I have an Acer laptop 9300 series with Windows Vista Home Premium Installed. Recently when trying to open Windows Media Player I get the following mwssage:
The file wmploc.dll has a version number of 11.0.6000.6344 where 11.0.6000.6336 was expected.

Windows Media Player is not installed properly and must be reinstalled.

Do you want to install the Player from the Microsoft Web Site?

YES NO
Clicking yes allows you to download WMP 11 for xp my computer has Vista Premium installed.
How can I reinstall Windows Media Player for Vista onto my computer as downlowding the suggested link above does not work.
Thanks

The XP version can also be used to repair the Vista version.

I think you are safe to go ahead and download the XP version.

Or you can download it from here
