No way ! This is the probably the most important decision you can ever make in your life. There are a lot of things in life that we can, and sometimes have to compromise on, but your lifelong parter is not one of them.

i didnt read this question as it was intended, only reading the heading lol (too much vodka) :-)
in that respect, ive often settled for second best but not in a relationship. ive always gone the way i wanted to go. To say i'd settled for second best would be saying there was one person i wanted and ended up with another who i didnt,So no, i have never done that!
