I'm having trouble with a DVD I got for christmas.

I can play it on a DVD player and on a Mac but not on my laptop or my dads laptop.

When I insert it into a computer i can open the folder to view the audio and video folders but they are empty apparently, well according to the computers, they can't see anything.

I don't have any trouble playing any other DVD on my laptop.

Has anyone else had this trouble with a disc? Could it be faulty? Is it fixable? If I bought another would the same thing happen? Anyone have any ideas what's going on?

I really need to get it working on my comp so i can transfer the movie to my ipod! :(

Thanks for reading and any info you can give!

You fail to mention what the title of the DVD is. It could be an encryption problem which will mean that you will have problems transferring it to an iPod. Also what software are you using to view the DVD on the laptop?

LOL - yes i did fail to mention to title. I was hoping I wouldn't have to, it could have a somewhat detrimental effect on my street cred so to speak....hehehe. It's High School Musical 2.

And I'm using Windows Media Centre. My dads laptop was using Cyberlink, neither worked.
