Hi, Ive just seen a woman from down the road driving with another adult passenger in the front and 4 children in the back. My question is how illegal is this? Daft question but it worried me a bit, thanks. By the way, its a small 2 door toyota.

No I have better things to do than go round counting people in cars and more important things in my life to worry about.. One of which is why am I contributing to this drivel in the first place? Now having got that off my chest I am off to do something constructive.

Yes it is illegal as the the car was made for 5 people. However, it will fall under a "verbal warning" if the old bill did stop them.

Or a non-endorsed fine for the person in the back not wearing a seatbelt (or if under 14 yrs old, then the driver of the car)
