Got a freeview box for xmas!

My dilemma is this,
I want to connect it to my main tv which also has a seperate video and dvd connected to it.
I've got a website which shows me how to do it.
The problem is as i only have an indoor aerial, I'm not sure if it will work for me.
Should i try it on a single tv first, just to check that i can get it, before i go down the road of disconnecting everything?

We've connected a spare freeview box to a really, really old portable TV in our kitchen, which only has a small indoor aerial and the digital picture is excellent. A TV engineer recently told me that, contrary to what some shops tell you about needing upgraded aerials for digital TV, if you can get a decent analogue picture with your existing aerial, then chances are your digital reception will be OK too. Don't know if that is so for all parts of the country though. Good luck!
