On the last one - 11D - is it UPSWING?

Chris
Blimey - you earlybirds! I`m only just about to stroll down & buy my copy! Merry Xmas.
Its what I look forward to on a Sunday!

Happy Xmas.
Well done deb - just started to look at it.
Do you know anybody who has actually won this??
Question Author
Upswing is correct
haven`t started ti yet!Still on saturday`s puzzle pages!Well done!
Well done, debbond. I haven't fathomed the quotation yet, but am perplexed by two; 101A Writhing or wallowing (9) ??L?E?I?G ...is it Toltering, which is all I can find? ; and 102D Rather gloomy or dull in colour (7) ??E?I?? - first letter probably G. Oh and 14D ! More knowing or sly (7) ??E?I?R ...is it Creepier, perhaps. Thanks for any help.

Many thanks, that was quick. Will now try to fathom out the quote, but as I haven't got an ODQ5 (lent it to someone,) may be asking for a hint later !
Hooray, got the quote finally - but has anyone spotted theMOS boo-boo at the bottom where "even to shining" reads "even OT shining "?!? We'll forgive them for Christmas, eh, must have been hard enough compiling the thing in the first place.....Merry Xmas to all ABers GK
Question Author

Just musing over 112 across - you mention outfeat and I;m toying with outwent.

Any thoughts?

Chris.
R U sure outbest doesnt work?
Have looked at several dictionaries online and can't seem to find outbest.

Outfeat appears to surpass others in a feat and outwent on Encarta says " outdo somebody or something: to go beyond or surpass somebody or something"
Try google - outbest definition - I agree with you but there is such a term.
Who am I to know I am not even doing this xword.
Okay, thanks.
Hi Hoike - Just seen another thread with answer of OUTDONE - does this check with your other answers?
Deb, Have you got 2down please?
