My hubby and I both have new i-pods but we share a laptop will that be a problem? Will each ipod have its own site (so to speak). Will it recognise which is which when we want to download stuff.? or do we have to install on separate computers?

Each has its own identity and in addition you can name them so that you know which is which. You might choose different colours so that you each know at a glance who's is who's.

If you are using Windows XP or Vista it is very easy to set it up so you have two different Windows userids.

So when you first start Windows it will allow you to log on as Jack or Jill (or whatever your names are)

Then each Windows user has their own piece of hard disk where they can store all their files. You can have you own desktop background, your own browser favorites and so on.

So if "Jack" logs on Windows as himself and connects his ipod and downloads files they will be held in one place.

Then if "Jill" logs on Windows as herself and downloads files they will be held in another place.

So there is no chance of either of you getting confused or getting your files mixed up.

You can set up a new userid in the Windows control panel.
