I want to change from Windows Xp to Vista. The only data I'm keen not to jeopardise is all the music I've paid for from iTunes.
If I change to Vista will all my iTune music be wiped off?

If you are considering upgrading a PC or laptop from XP to Vista can i say

DONT DO IT.

A quick search round the web will convince you that Vista has been a disaster and an upgrade should NOT be considered.

I work in computers and have twice tried to upgrade my PC to Vista (one I built about a year ago). Both times it failed and I had to go back to XP.

If you are buying a new PC or laptop with Vista on it then that is a different mater.
I'm curious as to why you would want to change to Vista - a much cheaper and less painful option is to get the word "Sucker" tattooed on your forehead.

Thanks for your answers people. To be honest, you've both said what everyone else has said, in the flesh and in the cyber world. No-one bothered to answer my query, they just warned me off of vista!

I'd agree with the above. Stick with XP.

iTunes: just copy your library (C:\documents and settings\[username]\my documents\my music\itunes) across, and all your purchased music should be moved too.

You may need to authorize the Vista system once you've downloaded and installed iTunes. This is from the advanced menu in iTunes.
Vista is in incredibly memory hungry piece of cr@p. For pity's sake don't do it. Do you have at least a GB of RAM?
