Just don't brush that lovely suede coat against them when the vaseline is there!

Panic button, you have a point,
the bride would kill me.
Would the oil base in the vasaline attack the rubber seals and then they would not be water tight any more?
If not vaseline, try neat washing up liquid or soap rubbed onto the door seals. Not a disaster then if you brush against it getting in and out of the car.
candle wax rub on polish off
Emigrate to somewhere with a warmer climate.
vaseline
Silcone spray
Candlewax - i do this in the winter and it works a treat !

Merry Christmas everyone.
