Region 3 dvd by mistake!

I watched the film Ratatouille in the USA last month and having now returned to the UK decided to buy the dvd. Big mistake here - I knew I couldn't use Region 1, so thought it was Region 3 I needed there wasn't any other offered for purchase. Now it has arrived I find I need Region 2 which won't be on sale till 2008. Not too sure how to get rid of the unuasable one (for me). Any ideas?

Yes, make your dvd player region free by using a hack - a series of buttons on your remote control.

If you are unable to do as Ethel suggests and make your dvd player region free. Then you could consider copying the dvd with something like DVD Shrink and making the copy region free.
