My car won't start. The warning message is ' Tracking System Failure' The garage that normally services my car is closed for holidays this week. My breakdown cover people have said that they can transport it to a main dealer for diagnostics testing but I know this will cost me a small fortune. I've told them I will wait a week until my regular garage is open. Just wondering if anyone knows what could be wrong?

Sorry that should read TRACTION SYSTEM FALIURE
Quite often on Jaguars, a low/flat battery causes random faults to appear on the dash when trying to start. You could try a jump start or chargeing.

The traction system failing should not stop the car from starting on its own.

Thanks Furrycheeky
The battery is less than a year old but the car has not been used much this week. I'll try and jump start it later when my hubby comes home. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks

Just to let you know. The car wouldn't start because it had been stood on the drive for a week in the really cold weather. The garage sent a low loader to take it in. When the driver tried to start the car it fired up. He said it was because of the cold and then I had flooded the engine. Still took it in as it needed checking and MOT. Passed having replaced two fromt tyres at 195 each! OUCH!!!
