I've read about this chilli before. I personally think you'd be insane to try it, you'll be very ludcky if it doesnt result in a quick trip to casualty once consumed!
Yes, go for it. I have 5 bags of Dorset Nagas in the freezer, and I chop a whole one into every curry I cook.

I've tried a small piece raw, not the searing endorphin experience I was expecting, but I had colonic spasm and abdominal pain for a few hours afterwards.

Whiffey, a couple of years ago and that comment would have had me heading off to tesco's to buy the whole store out - nowaday's I'll just agree - yeah I know!
When we were on training exercises all Sgt's and above you meet in the cooks tent and have a Jalapino eating competition. The small ones are the hottest, and, if you do indulge, put a roll of toilet paper in the freezer, you'll need it in the morning.

Oh to be a student in a shared house again, the spikng fun I could have
Actually you can get a hotter experience if you buy the insanely hot purified capsaicin extracts. I tried one of these once and spent over an hour rocking in pain on the settee mouthing out loud 'You shouldn't have done that'

To lay the lavatorial side of things to rest, you become accustomed to chilli. The first time I had a jalfrezi I was up 5-6 times during the night and really shamefully noisy with it (and the walls were thin!). Nowadays - nothing unusual.
