Electro-Acoustic Guitars

Can anyone please give me some advice.
My husband has recently started to learn to play the guitar and has asked for an Electro-Acoustic guitar from Santa. Does anyone have any recommendations on what to buy or at least look for.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm afraid it's one of those occasions, he'd be better to try before you buy. Every musical instrument can differ, and what's right for someone can be totally useless for another. Take him to a good music shop and let him a couple of hours in the practice booths to see what he likes.
