have you tried putting the oil on a tissue and inhailing it like that ? it works for me
Shanx's suggestion works well. At night time sprinkle drops of olbas oil along the top edge of your duvet cover, and at the sides of your pillow. This really keeps your nose unblocked during the night, and you sleep much better.
try sudafed its sounds like your sinusses
Sudafed tablets, not the ones with paracetamol in though as they are crap.
Try Boots own make decongestant tablets. Great for relief of nasal a sinus congestion.
Vicks Sinex nasal spray. It worked for Balcub (think about it)
Put your face over a bowl of steaming water and cover yourself with a towel - the steam will really help with blocked nose and if that's no good add something like Vics or olbas oil to the hot water....works a treat
hi fruitsalad, exactly the same thing going on with me at the moment lol. i use a nasal spray called otrivine - available nearly everywhere!! its really good, unblacks ur nose in minutes and lasts for hours!! good luck
Try hot spicy food like a Madras Curry or Chilli Concarne (think thats how its spelt). Your nose will run and run.
Albas oil seems to be more effective if used over a longer period and night time seems to offer the best opportunity for extended use. Put some on a tissue and sellotape it to your pillow. If you can be alone during the day and don't mind looking a little foolish, some Albas on a tissue tucked inside one of those papier machier builders' masks to protect them inhaling dust would work well.

some really good ideas guys thanks
I get a blocked nose most mornings, still havent understood the cause, but i cant be bothered to go to the dr's about it (and besides, i dont trust dr's) - anyway, what i do is, discusting as it is, is get some kitchen roll, rip some off, roll it into a small pad, and stick some up my nose. sounds stupid, but surprisingly works! when i take them outta my nose about an hour or half an hour later, my nose feels nice and clear! only down side of course is the fact i have these two gross snotty bits of kitchen paper left over! no probs, in the bin, jobs a good un.
Hopefully by now you have recovered. However if you have not, try Sudafed nasal spray - this will unblock your nose very quickly and stay unblocked for 8-12 hours. Available in Boots and usual places.
Boots brand of decongestant works very well for me. If they don't work then try a vacuum cleaner.
