I want to connect the XBOX360 to my computer Monitor. The monitor has the Composite connections for the HD, like a normal LCD TV has. So the video is not the problem. However, how to I get the sound to work? The monitor has no speakers. Its a DELL 24" HD monitor.

Would it work if i connected the Phono connectors (for the sound, cables that come with the xbox) to a Jack that outputs to a 3mm jack, then get a female to female 3mm jack so i can then plug in my headphones direct?

Try connecting the phono leads to an av amp or hi fi amp then add some decent loudspeakers and turn it up.
