I have posted in 'pets' about my cat sh1tting on the carpet.

As everyone is here instead of Animals & Nature can you give me a reason why my newly neutered, litter trained cat has started messing?

Mr P is threatening severe action...

He is also not as affectionate as he was before. While my female cat has gone from being aloof to a total love festival 24/7!

I reckon he has just realised his jewels have gone and is making us pay..
No more hows ya father for Mr Cat then.

Cats have a mind of their own. They are not like dogs who will do anything for their owner. Cats look at you as if to say "why are you giving me this cr@p to eat? Give me some real chicken".

My 2 are constantly criticising me.
If I was a newly adjusted cat, that would be the least I'd do . lol. I think it's payback.

Tell Mr Pippa, any more lip from him and he'll be going to the vets too!
maybe its a STUPID cat

Did they take them away or are the tubes just cut? If they have been taken away I would seriously look into getting him some implants, at least he'll have something to scratch when he gets up in the morning.
Pippa, where is your litter box and is it fresh? Your cat may be sending you a message that it isn't happy with its current facilities. Daft as it may sound, you may find a solution in refreshing, or even changing the type of litter as well as moving the box to a place where moggie has a bit more privacy...who knows..perhaps it's reading and doesn't want to be disturbed.

Best of luck

Fr Bill
I'll never forget the look on my sister's cat's face when it sat down and lifted its leg to wash it dangleys and spotted that they weren't there anymore - It was a kind of puzzled "what the *uck" kind of expression. Absolutely hilarious.
Sorry, no idea why it is pooing on the carpet - maybe it is nice and soft on its sore bottom? Does your carpet look like litter only softer?

Thanks everyone ~ Fr Bill, I have just spoken to the vet who suggested the same thing...even down to buying a new litter box!

Well done :o)

The the tubes are cut, screechee. I did think about putting some ball bearings in there until I found this out.

I shall be trying all sorts of things. If they don't work apparently there is a behaviouralist (sp) nurse at the vets. Maybe she can sort him out.
