I have upgraded my Windows 98 to xp onto my laptop. My laptop does not have any physical Contrast or Brightness buttons as you normally do on a full size monitor so I rely on the virtual features of Windows. I found I cannot control the brightness of Windows xp which is a pain staring at a high brightness screen. I have tried the Color Management option in xp but it does not work, because of this I have to reinstall Windows 98 back again. In Windows 98 I always go to Display Properties click on Settings, click on Advanced and click on Color. Then I slide the button at Desktop to min in order to reduce the brightness. Or is there any software I can download which enables me to control the brightness of my Desktop? Many Thanks

You may get the extra features if you download the updated video card driver from the manufacturer's web site rather than using the generic XP driver (if this is the case)
