wavy scrolling display

I recently had to re=install windows (xp), Now when I scroll up or down, the page moves in a wave like formation, and it's making me sea-sick! Any ideas where I can reset it please? Thanks.

Not a 100% sure but i think this is to do with Direct X...try updating it...post back if that fixes it...handy to know.

I had this a while ago and it turned out to be my graphics drivers. Go to Windows update and it should give you a software update. Are you using an Nvidia card?

It was Java for me. Once I installed that, no problem.

thanx for the replies..I've fixed it.
Start > control panel > display > settings > advanced >
troubleshoot > adjust hardware acceleration to "none"
This seems to have cured the problem.
