Ask yourself 'Is this really causing me so much of a problem that it is worth a 60 solicitor's letter'. And that's just for starters.
Contacting your solicitor would seem a bit rash. Why don't you invite your neighbour round for a cup of tea and calmly explain your concerns. I'm sure that a fair person would pay due consideration to your concerns and a suitable outcome can be reached. However, if you are seeking legal redress then that option would certainly be open to you. However, the process could be stressful, costly and time consuming. You argument against your neighbour would be based on the idea of private nuisance and trespass. Hope you and your neighbour reach an outcome you're both happy with.
