i live in a council property but the property is not registered to anybody.recently i tried to buy the propert under the right to buy but it has been several months for the council to register the property under their name,previously is was not.so if the property is not registered to anybody or the owner has died.do i have any right over it because i currently occupy the property?

Do you mean the land was not registered with the Land Registry, but the Council held the Title Deeds in their own name?

Many properties are still not registered with the Land Registry and everything is legally done ' the old fashioned way'.

Or do you mean there are no deeds at all?
