Is there anywhere I can access the 2003 electoral roll online? For free or at least cheaper than 192.com, which charges 95! Failing that what about the records from 2002? Thank you!

My understanding is that since 2002 there have been two versions of the electoral register available. The full version - ie the actual register of voters - can only be inspected under supervision (usually at Town Halls), and can only be copied by hand. However, an edited version - which excludes those voters who opt to be left out - is more widely available. Presumably, both the 192.com and the ukgeneology lists are the edited, incomplete versions.

I'm researching for a book, and have limited money. My Main county library has a C/D which anyone can use. OK it's not on line, but at lest you don't have to pay through the nose for it's use. If you find a site please let me know. Tim
