How do I go about downloading music to play back for use on an mp3 player or to cd, or dvd for movies etc from my pc - what do i need to have and where can i buy what i need and how much should i expect to pay? thank you

look for KazaaLite using google No adware or spyware, quick to install & you will find mostly mp3. For playing on normal CD player you will need to first convert to .WAV format. Use a program such a CDex. Also free to convert from mp3 to wav & burn the tracks using music format to a CD

Apparently KazaaLite still has something along the lines of spyware in it. I'd use something else (like soulseek or even Kazaa K++). Also, to create an audio CD you definitely shouldn't need to convert mp3's to anything else - they should be fine as they are. "Nero" can create audio CDs from mp3, and with the right plugins, also from more obscure file types like ape, shn and possibly flac.
