I have a coldwater tank with 5 whitecloud minnows and 3 zebra dannios and all has been well for 2 years. Over the last week I have noticed that one of the dannios has a small white spot like growth on the end of his mouth. It does not seem to affect him, but does anyone know what this is?

It sounds like fungus. You can get something from your local aquarium suppliers to put in the water to clear it up. If you've got another aquarium to isolate the fish, then do it, so's you can treat it. If not, just dose the whole tank. It'll help prevent the others from getting it, too. Is the filter working OK? If you leave fungus too long, it could kill the fish, so pop along & get the treatment. Good luck K xx
