Hi all,
Does anyone out there in A.B land have a combination /
convector / grill microwave oven.
My microwave is on the blink, i am going to purchase
another, just wondered if the combo ones are worth
the extra expenditure.
I would be most grateful for any info on them.
thanks Dave.

thanks a lot folks for your answers.
i think i will buy a conventional one.
and use my cooker.
thanks again for taking the trouble to answer.
Dave
I have a combination one, and when my real oven broke & grill lately it was a godsend, it is also good as it has a slow cooker function, a direct access recipe function for curries/ casseroles etc, with all the right temperatures & timings preset in between stirs. It also has a snack button so warming things that normally go soggy in a micro, stay as they should be, as well as preset pizza and baked potato. It claims to do Yorkshire puds, but I've never made my own in it, but it does aunt bessies if you are desperate. It's a Sanyo showerwave, I've had it years now, so they might have changed.

I've just moved house and the one I was in had a combi microwave (Neff) and now I'm lost without it! Going to buy one this weekend! It's great for stuff like baked potatoes and even roast chicken - does it superfast, roasts it with crispy skin, yet keeps it moist. Best thing is, because it's small it heats up quickly and uses up less electricity than a big oven - much more economical (and cheaper!) than heating a whole oven for one jacket spud.
