Could we please have a font with serifs that could distinquish between I ( capital i ) and l ( little L ) . This would be most useful in the Q & P section.
Serif fonts are designed for paper printing. They do not work well on screen. There are fonts designed for screen use like Tiresias which would add to legibility as well as doing the job you require. Even good old Verdana would be better than this one.
I've never been confused in Q&P ...there are the odd one or two who think that we are mind readers but I put a lot of it down to dirty specs syndrome and people who put ----- instead of ??? :))
the font for user names has serifs - I don't know its name but it was introduced to try to weed out imposters who tried to confuse Is and ls. It might look a bit ugly to use it for entire posts, though.
I've just looked at Tiresias, and I agree that it would be a more appropriate script to use - especially on the Q & P site. Unlike Shaneystar, I quite frequently get confused, and when I'm likely to be the cause of the confusion I try to use L or i.
Uuum .... That doesn't look too good on my computer, some of the first strokes of each letter don't look well defined. Whether it would look better when it went live - I don't know.
On the plus side the capital I in the original question has serifs !
