I recently carried out some work for a company who I have just found out has gone in to liquidation. I've been chasing payment for a few months now. Have sent reminder letter, another + final demand letter and a number of e-mails in-between. How can I get hold of the money they owe me? They're ignoring all e-mails. Amount owing is approx 700 which is a lot for me!

Hopefully someone can advise me of next steps to take.

You need to contact the Official Receiver for the company to make sure your claim is registered.
Unfortunately you are towards the back of a long line of creditors who have preferential treatment when it comes to doling out anything that is left. HMRC for one.
If you have an invoice outstanding with them then the Receiver should contact you to validate the claim, though no harm in contacting them if you can find out who it is.

To be honest, you'll be lucky to get any money back, as buildersmate says.

Depending on your business, try asking for a proportion up front with new clients, at least you wont lose so much if this happens again.
