I just got broadband yesterday and tried to watch some stuff on you tube but I was told I needed the latest version of flash. I then tried to download it but it said I had active X blockers on the page and even after making the site trusted I wasn't able to progress with it. Does anybody have any ideas? It's the XP home version of explorer that I was using. Cheers!

Try Tools>Options>Security and make sure the slider is set at medium.
You should get an info bar at the top of the page asking for permission to install ActiveX components. If it is set to high it will block all.
that flash update is a bit different to any other I've had so far, in that enbling it on the page didn't open a windows textbox - all of the progress was within a window built into the webpage. I was wondering if it was loading at all until i spotted that. It's possible it was actually downloading and you didn't spot it.

Perhaps. I was very tired at the time and it had taken me a while to make the page trusted in the first place. I'll have another look when I get in from work. Cheers!
