If I'd cooked chicken and was saving it for salads etc, how long will it last in my fridge?

It should last 5-6 days. Keep it covered in the fridge on a shelf above where you would keep raw meat. Once you have stripped the meat off you can boil the bones etc. for chicken stock!
At least 5/6 days as suggested by maxi2. If you've cooked it yourself and your fridge is o.k.it could last longer. I bet cold chicken from a delli is often more than a week old......Ron.
It probably would last 5 days, but I probably wouldn't feel I wanted to eat it about 2 days as it will undoubtedly have started to taste slightly less fresh.
I didnt realise it lasted so long, Ive chucked chicken out after 2/3 days before - thanks guys
I always thought it was three days. I'll eat it up to then but then throw it out.
