My grandad use to do a trick where he would dial his house number from another phone in the house. One line one number. Ring the living room from the kitchen. all i know is 1471 and 141 but thats not it. any ideas??

Dial 1741 before your house number, then put the phone down, and then the phone will ring after a couple of seconds. This only works on BT, and note it's not 1471, but 1741 :)

....great! It used to be 1267, but when they got rid of that I nothing to do with my time.
