Hi. I've just moved in to a house with a south facing conservatory. I'd love to fill it with plants but suspect that it will be too warm and sunny for most of my house plants. Also, I'm not very green fingered. Can anyone suggest plants that are easy to grow and will thrive in a hot and sunny room? Thank you.
Keep your plants to the back of the conservatory and away from the glass. I do well with Easter and Christmas cacti, passion flower, the large leaved begonias, hibiscus. Make sure they don't dry out and water them often - sometimes I have to water two or three times a day. Keep them well fed.
Hi Katy May, any cactii or succulent will do well. I recently bought a China Rose from Morrisons supermarket, and it is doing superbly in my hot conservatory
