Been having problems with clutch for couple of weeks, was finding it hard to get it into gear and car was labouring, every now and again could smell the clutch burning. Today I saw some smoke from far side of bonnet so immediately went home. Any idea how much this will cost to fix? It is an Astra, Im thinking about 300?? PS I do know I should have dealt with it right away but my other half said I was imagining it!!!

Usually around the 250-300 mark - one test for a slipping clutch is to drive up a steep hill - dip the clutch pedal then release it again - the engine should initially rev up but die down again straight away and not rev.
also check your hydraulic clutch fluid level, if leaking, or low will cause your clutch to not release from your flywheel,
