Is it a pack of cards or a deck of cards?

When playing or talking about playing cards e.g. poker would you refer to the 52/54 cards as a pack, or a deck?

the deck is the pile of actual cards themselves in play - a pack is including the box.

Pack of cards if you're British , deck of cards if you're American.

Well I'd say its a deck so its 60/40 that it deck so far.
How about some new names? A stack..a pod... a joking...a pile...a fascination of...a crumble...a table of...a splice...or a good old box of!
