I was drowned, I was washed up and left for dead
I fell down to my feet and saw they bled
I frowned at the crumbs and a crust of bread
I was crowned with a spike right through my head
(says something here - not sure what)
But it's all right now, in fact it's a gas
But it's all right, I'm Jumpin' Jack Flash
It's a gas, gas, gas
Jumpin' Jack Flash, it's a gas

After the verse, before the chorus starts (where I have inserted the brackets above), Mick Jagger says/sings something. Anyone have any idea what he says?

I think he repeats, and slurs the line " ... through my head", so it sounds like "thr... m ...heeeaad".

Mick is famous for slurring his words - he bit off the tip of his tongue in a gym accident at school, and for a while he did slur a litttle, but was delighted because he thought it made his vocal sound more authentic, like the old blues masters who slurred through the use of substances during recording.

Even after his tongue healed, Mick has retained the slurry approach to vocals - this is a prime example.

Fabulous song though - those bass lines!
I'll let you know next week - Stones at Slane - YES!
Now that's just shwoing off Whick!

Jealous? Moi?

(Sob! Sniffle!)
See, I'm so upset I've gone dyslexic!
