I grew up in Bradford.
As a child, I knew them as WESLEYBOBS.
Does anyone from anywhere else call them this ?
Those who know what they are, well, know.

My mum (from Wakefield) used to call them wessel cups. I often wondered if this was a corruption of wassail cups (or something like that).
Wesleybobs on Christmas trees? Honest? I grew up in Bradford too. Don't remember Wesleybobs. Wellybobs, yes - just the things for today's weather. Now there was I thinking that perhaps Wesleybobs were worn by Methodists! You certainly learn on this website.
Yes,I too grew up in Bradford and know the term used to describe our Christmas tree decorations
