AVG/Norton antivirus

On advice from many of you I have just downloaded AVG antivirus and firewall as my Norton is about to expire. I am about to remove Norton from my computer but I remember that someone on AB said that you cannot completely remove Norton via the Add/Remove facility in Control Panel and I think a free program was suggested which would remove it and all its parts from a computer. Could someone please remind me what that program is? TIA
