When Cresta fizzy drinks were on sale in the UK in the 1970s, they had a very smooth taste quite unlike carbonated products. Disappointingly, the recent version's just like any other bog-standard pop. Did the original have an additive or two too many, as I've often wondered why it was taken off the market?

supposedly tartrazine....food yellow no. 4...now banned in many countries, but only affects 1 in 10,000...so I guess it's ok, as long as you're not the 1.
