Friends reunited

Does anyone ever use this to contact old friends, or does everyone do what I do and just go on for a look to see who is registered and what they are doing now? Thing is, my memory is getting so bad, that I am not sure if I actually remember anyone on there. I am pretty sure I could look up any school and think I recognise just as many people!

I was contacted through Friends Reunited by a lady from Australia. She just picked my name as my school seemed to be near where her ancestors had come from. As it turned out they were from about 40 miles away but when she came over to trace her family tree we met up and with the help of a few friends I was able to take her to the very house they had lived in. She was delighted and we still keep in touch by email.

That's a bit of a different use than was intended, but a very novel idea - I am sure that she was pleased to find someone as helpful as you.
