I hve uploaded various files to my website using CuteFTp and i wondered if theres a way that people can download the files as you would do normally from a website.

Is there something i need to do to the files or the setup in order for this to happen?

depends what sort of file type it is, if it is something the browser is capable of displaying it will do that rather than download.

If it is an MP3 or Word Document for example when you enter the URL the browser will normally just open a download box.

Its a rar file, well its 9 files in total.

Its a client for a game, i want to allow people to download the client thats fully patched, so they can connect easier.

Its a game called Lineage II, its ok, its L2java not copyright infringement.

anyway yeah its rar files
Just point the URI to the file in question. rar files will probably download by default, given their unusual MIME type.

If you upload to /stuff/client.rar, then try the URI http://www.example.com/stuff/client.rar in your browser, and see if it downloads for you.
