Anyone ever been with a 'controlling' partner ?

I have been in a relationship which started well, then he got moody and jealous, then manipulative and finally violent. I am not suggesting that your man will go down the same route but controlling behaviour is a big no-no in my mind and I would get out now before you get in too deep. He could get help but he has to admit to a problem and want to sort it out.

But Elvis has his the nail on the head here, my new man does have a problem, its so obvious, I cant win no matter if I have my phone on silent, vibrate, or even off. My fella did apologise and did admit that he has a bit of a problem as it touched a nerve with his ex - she did the same thing with her phone and he used to catch her texting in secret, we had a good chat as I said he cannot go on like this making me scared to use my own phone ! I said it wasnt right and if he reacted again like this - I would leave for good, 3 strikes and he is out, so he knows where he stands now, I told him I am not hiding anything at all, and for him to start to trust and if anything he is unsure about just to talk to me, not go into a sulk. So only time will tell. I will keep you updated. RQ xxx

No not at all Leg End, he still is a lovely guy, and still treats me really well, I have no complaints, if anything he is very keen on me, he is in love with me, wants me to move in with him, he texts me all the time telling me how much he loves me and wants to be with me. But he is making me slightly scared to use my mobile phone now as I dont want to upset him as he is obviously bothered about me cheating on him so much, I have given him an ultimatum as I will not be with a controlling partner who will start to watch my everymove, he insists on driving me everywhere and picking me up, he wont let me cook or wash up, he wants to do everything for me.
