prison break ending

i'm a bit confused about the ending. is there going to be another series?
because if that's the end then i'm gutted!
and what was that thing at the end where michael walked into the light?

After surfing the net, the next series starts in autumn in the states, so I guess it will get here eventually. I was very disappointed with the ending, it was as tho they'd run out of ideas.

There is a third series, but it will not be on Channel 5. I believe it has been poached by Sky.
