Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

I have really enjoyed this quiz but am stuck on just one question -No. 12 - Booby so help would be much appreciated.

I think you may be right with Bristol although it is rather obscure.

No where had I found that Booby was a fly fishing term and now that you have pointed me in the right direction I feel a Right Booby myself!!!

I believe that it stems from Cockney Rhyming Slang. "Apples and Pears" = stairs, so "Bristol City" = titty ! (Frequently shortened to just "Bristol(s)".
After all of that, I do hope we are discussing the same charity quiz.

And, of course, a "booby", is another term for that described above.

I'm sorry I didn't name the Quiz. It is The Cryptic Places Quiz in aid of the Rhodes Minnis Methodist Church Building Fund.

I can see the link with Cockney rhyming slang but would never have thought of that in a thousand years but thanks for the alternative derivation, Keyboard.
