Computer not powering down

Just recently my computer stopped switching off fully. Windows shuts down, the monitor looses signal and standbys, but the fans and maybe hard drives stay on.
Nothing has been added or removed, and a system restore to before trouble started did not help.
Its an Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe MB with an Athlon FX-55 and twin nvidia 6800s and Audigy ZS2 sound.
Any ideas appreciated.
