Does anyone else think the way her parents are carrying on is really creepy? Instead of seriously looking for her they seem to have turned into a pair of publicity wh***s - do they honestly think that meeting the Pope will bring her back???

After the German media asking questions they clearly did not expect the European tour may stop, or at least they will have to re-think their stratagy.
I think there's something very odd about this. Something doesn't ring quite true. The parent's reaction is very strange, very over the top.
Surely their reaction only appears strange and ott because it has never been tried this way before. I have no doubt that they will and should do everyting in their power to find their daughter. I am personally at saturation point with this too but to a new audience it is new news.

However if they were in a large family group, why could someone not have sat with the children? Or if the parents were involved how could they hid this from the rest of their family members?

Again, there is no evidence that she actually was abducted.
I agree with Elvis I know if I was being filmed after my child had been supposedly taken I would be in tears and wouldn't want the media attention but I have never seen them cry once and they seem to be loving the camera crew in their face 24/7. I hope the little girl is safe and being looked after but I definately think there is something behind what is being said in the news that hasn't been mentioned. I only hope for the girls sake there isn't.
as a parent i certainly wouldnt be visiting every european country god knows there is enough coverage about the poor little girl that everyone in the worlds knows about her plight.they should be in portugal helping there or even in morrocco where she is strongly believed to be,not cavorting around europe..there is something very strange going on here.
the parents are certainly enjoying the publicity, extended holiday, papal audience and now world tour- almost makes abandoning 1-3 children worthwhile!

An audience with The Pope indeed. An audience with Social Services would have been more appropriate.
I'm also of the opinion that they should not have left 3 children that age unattended, but that aside, what has amazed me is the media attention and the fact that the press has always been 'on their side' in this. First it was reported that they were dining 100yards away, then it went down to 50yards, then down to 40yards, with nothing being said abiut them leaving the children on a regular basis. How they can be apart from the twins now is a mystery to me, I would find it hard to let go of them.

I don't honestly think they have anything to do with her going missing, as some factions of the press are claiming, but it was a tragedy waiting to happen. What parents leave their children anywhere unattended for any length of time, certainly when they're that young. They do seem to be making hay while the publicity sun is shining though and their whole display is very tasteless.

And another thing; why has everyone jumped straight to the conclusion that she has been abducted (probably by a dirty old man) when there is no evidence of such? How do they know she didn't just wake up and go looking for her parents???
That question has been asked a few times on here, fairkatrina ~ I have asked the same thing and it appears to have fallen on deaf ears!

No evidence as yet that Maddie was abducted..no leads as yet.
