My little boy who is 3 1/2 years old appears to have chicken pox even though he had it when he was 18 months old! Is that possible??I thought you could only get it once?

funnily enough my little un has just had it AGAIN he isnt 2 yet. Sometimes people dont develop a proper immunity to it the first time round.
A mild dose the first time round does not guarantee immunity.
I've had it twice. I still have a scar on my eyelid from scratching when I was a kid but I caught it again from my own children. I went to the Doctors saying it couldn't possibly be chickenpox as I'd already had it, but she said, yes, it IS chickenpox and you can have it more than once. I have since heard of someone having it three times.
I have had chicken pox twice. The second time was worse than the first.
